Guess what? After 2 1/2 months of bumming around, I will be working again, starting next Monday 12/17. Can you believe that I will be a consultant? What? Yup, you read right.
Our God is indeed faithful. He knows what I need-- some pocket $. He just provided me a consultant/contractor job. I will be working at my old company to help out my old boss Prema. This is very interesting situation even Prema cannot believe this is happening for real. I quit my job back in Oct because management had moved Prema to a different group and I was frustrated with my new direct manager for months. Now, I will be working for/with Prema who I had worked for many years. I can only praise God in how He provided this job out of many impossibilities. I never thought I would be going back AND as a consultant for Prema! Yay! :)
I know God has answered my prayers in wanting some more time with Prema to continue to witness to her. I started sharing the gospel with Prema when the whole work situation was going crazy. After quitting, although I tried very hard to stay in touch with Prema, timing was never right. God places me there now as a consultant for Prema for a reason. Please be praying for Prema’s salvation and for me...
Regarding my "real" job search, it is still on-going. Right now, end of the year, timing is not the greatest as companies typically don't hire at the end of the year. Let's see how God will lead me next!
Our God is awesome!!! :)

I am auntie Phoebe!
Back in May of this year, my brother Enoch told us that my sister-in-law Imelda was pregnant. Our family was excited with much joy but then Enoch said that the baby could have Down Syndrome, at that time, our hearts were sadden with much sorrow!
During Imelda’s pregnancy, AFP test was done. Result came back with abnormality. The doctor said that the baby may have an extra 21st chromosome. To be sure, the baby can be tested with amniocentesis or be aborted. Our family urgently and persistently prayed in front of the Lord. After some time, a decision was made to have this baby; a bible verse came to my mom’s heart-- Psalm 127:3 “Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him”. Because this baby is God’s gift, we have to put everything in God’s hands and hope for God’s grace and mercy.
Pastor Dan and Charlene talked to my parents one day about how Enoch and Imelda were doing. My parents told them that Enoch and Imelda were expecting. They both were so happy too for my parents to become grandparents. My parents told them what was happening and P. Dan immediately suggested to have the whole congregation pray on this. My parents said no but just to have P. Dan and Charlene prayed privately for this baby and asked for God’s gracious leading and mercy upon us. We believed this baby is a gift from God and is a gift which we would have the strength/ability to receive.
Some brothers and sisters knew Imelda was pregnant and were all happy for my parents and for me. Only God knew our hearts. We can only ask for God to be gracious and be full of mercy.
On Nov 26, 6:57PM, Imelda had c-section at the hospital and gave birth to a baby girl, weighed 7lb 5 oz and measured 19” long. The baby is a healthy and cute little girl and is named Abigail (Mei-Zhi: aka Beautiful Wisdom). Our entire family, along with Imelda’s mom, were all giving thanks for God’s blessing and grace. Praise the Lord!
P. Dan and Charlene said that God has given our family a miracle and also praised God for us. May all the glory be given to God! Joy has come to my family, my parents have written this testimony and I translated as good as I can to share with everyone. It sure has been a faith journey and God’s wisdom is something we couldn’t fathom…
Merry Christmas and happy New Year! May you also be blessed!
PS. Below are some pictures taken on 12/4/07 when Abi is only a week old. :)
